Go through the gears in the Golden Gate Park
This bike tour of San Francisco's glorious Golden Gate Park has adventure and variety at its heart, with the added benefit of bike rental!
Grab your moment of zen in the Japanese Tea Garden, with its peaceful water features, Shinto Shrine, pagodas and buddhas, all secreted away under a canopy of Japanese maples, magnolias, and cherry blossoms. You’ll cycle on to the California Academy of the Sciences and learn of its esteemed reputation as one of the world’s largest history museums. Your bicycle tour continues onwards to the historic gathering site of Hippie Hill before you enjoy the novelty of the Bison Paddock, where magnificent beasts roam free.
Those batty about botany will appreciate the Conservatory of Flowers and Botanical Garden, housing exquisite rare and exotic plants. The garden provides a perfect photo opportunity by the authentic Dutch Windmill, towering spectacularly in the grounds.

A glorious park to ride through
· San Francisco's Golden Gate Park Bike Tour
Not that a sunny day is a requirement but it really makes this place shine. I suggest avoiding this bike ride June - August unless you really like biking in chilly fog and wind. Putting all of those things aside, Golden Gate park is a magical place for a bike ride with a ton of cool history. Make sure you check out Ocean Beach, the tea garden, top of the DeYoung museum tower, Hippy Hill, and I suggest a post ride beer at the Kezar Pub on the east end of Golden Gate Park.
