Majorca
Located off the coast of Spain, the island of Majorca serves as an ideal setting for a bike tour. This loop tour of Majorca cycles around the entire island, visiting new, exciting sights and towns each day.
You'll be astonished by the natural beatuy! Standing on steep cliffs, overlooking quiet bays, you will feel the charm of Mallorca far away from its rich night life.
In the hills in the interior of the island, the wheels of the mills are turning gently, and you can hear the cicadas chirping in the grass. On this tour, you will cycle up and downhill – some nice climbs and descents await you. Perhaps those ups and downs are symbolic of the turbulent 2,000-year history of the largest Balearic Island? Both the coastal and the inland areas have their own charm and you will get to know each of them.
In the Dragon Caves of Porto Cristo, you will experience how creative, even bizarre, the architecture of nature can be. The picturesque fishing villages and shimmering salt lakes will revive your sense of romance.
And, of course, you will get many opportunities for swimming and sunbathing! "La Luminosa – The Enlightened One" is how Spainiards refer to Mallorca.
A great time to visit Majorca is in February, when you can see the island's almond trees in bloom.
Note: this itinerary is subject to change at Almond Blossom season, the first few dates of travel in February and March, due to some hotels being unavailable.
Highlights
- San Jordi's sandy beaches and crystal clear water
- Dragon Caves near Porto Cristo
- Santa Margerita's most beautiful village square in Majorca
- Lluc Monastery
- Fornalutx, hailed as the most beautiful village in Spain
- Citrus groves

What an amazing trip, but beware of the hills!
We loved this trip. So, so, so glad we upgraded to the better bikes! If you don't LOVE BIG HILLS, make sure you get the e-bike (I'm not kidding!) The hotels were nice, but we were extremely disappointed when we realized after finishing one of the days' rides that we had 10k MORE to get to our hotel. We had a little difficulty with the route loading slowly in some areas, so we had to backtrack. Hint 1 - make sure you have international phone service so that you can access google to search where you should be just in case. Hint 2 - make sure you read the printed directions each night to find the next day's starting location because it won't be your hotel.

Great ride but a few concerns
First thing of concern is a water bottle, I bought my water bottle but the did not have a holder for the bottle
I also am not sure of the conditions of the Nikes my back tire was low at the starts and had to be looked at before taking off
The location for the paella was awful by the time we got there we were told they were closing and anytime we asked for a drink we were informed that we were keeping them open
Also the paella was awful the chicken was ful with Bones
The last town port de soller was absolutely gorgeous but the ride out was a concern to us and we opted not to ride
All in all it was a great trip- What was the date of your tour?

Wonder-full!
We thoroughly enjoyed every day of our trip. The route was beautiful and took us through the interesting and diverse countryside. The app made navigation easy for our self guided tour and our manual bikes had enough gears to get us up the hills. We would highly recommend this trip.

Great ride but horrible bikes
We enjoyed generally the trip locations. Ride instructions were definitely a little fuzzy at times but generally good. The bikes were horrific. They had these heavy, equipment laden bikes that were meant for city riding and not going through the countryside. Not the type of bike meant for doing long hill climbs. Hotels were fine and had good locations, but again instructions to get to them were not great. We had to incur roaming charges to find one because the instructions they gave to find it would have put us the next town over.

BikeTours.com staff reply from Chloe October 17, 2019
Hi Bill, thanks kindly for the feedback. We appreciate you letting us know about the bikes being heavy and that the instructions could be improved. Most tours we offer are on hybrid touring bikes, and we can certainly understand they are often heavier bikes than most clients have at home. We'll surely pass your feedback onto the tour operator in order to improve their operations. We're glad to hear you enjoyed the ride and locations you visited regardless. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts.

Very enjoyable island loop
We hadn't been to Majorca before. This was a great way to explore it. The maps were excellent and the bikes were good quality city / touring bikes. The Euro-bike stickers on street signage are really helpful.

Beautiful place to cycle!
Majorca is truly a lovely island. Breathtaking coastal views and lovely pastoral scenery inland. Had some great lunches in the local towns. The arrangements were excellent. Good bikes, routes easy to follow, all hotels top-notch.

Great trip.
This was our first self guided tour. Almost everything was perfect. There are a couple of suggestions that may make the trip even better. Even though this was a self guided tour there were other people who were doing the tour at the same time. We saw them here and there but did not get to meet them and talk to them until 5th day at the luncheon. It would have been nice to have that lunch earlier so we could meet and interact sooner. We missed out on potential good friendship and interaction with others.
The WiFi service was poor in most places. I use it regularly to stay in touch with family back home. The last place we stayed gave us individual wifi codes and it worked great.
We would have loved to stay two nights at the Port de Soller instead of Can Picafort. That was the most beautiful area and we just did not have enough time to explore the area.
The food was hit and miss but OK overall.
I would suggest finding small restaurants with daily special menu for lunches. We had our best food on our trip in a little town in a very small restaurant.
We will definitely do this kind of trips again.- What was the date of your tour?

Loop tour mallorca
The trip was fantastic, Euro Bike were alway available. The hotels were all 4 star. Every town we stayed in had points of interest. I have done a lot of biking in Europe & would use Euro Bike again. Only thing I would change is the option to be billed in Euros on my visa without a visa sèvice fee, other companies do this.
