Enjoy a rejuvenating ride around Retiro Park
Enjoy a rejuvenating e-bike tour around Retiro Park, which welcomes each visitor into the verdant tranquility of its greenery and gardens. Once belonging to the Spanish Monarchy, this public park is among the largest in Madrid. Part of a combined UNESCO World Heritage Site with Paseo del Prado, it is an unmissable side of the city, offering you a leisurely chance to enjoy a more peaceful aspect of Spanish culture.
Your guided e-bike tour begins at the symbolic Plaza de Cibeles, home to the iconic Neoclassical complex of marble statues and enchanting fountains. Pedal a little further to discover Puerta de Alcalá, the grand gate to the former walls of King Philip IV. Having enjoyed some exquisite sightseeing in the heart of Madrid, you'll ride to the star of your show - Retiro Park. Here, your adventure really begins. Pedal around the Great Pond, whose tranquil waters are rippled by rowing boats, and park your bicycle up at the Palacio de Cristal which towers over the pristine lake. This magnificent glass house, shaped like a Greek cross, is guaranteed to take your breath away.
A little further into the park, discover the statue of the Fallen Angel, an incredible fountain inspired by John Milton's epic poem 'Paradise Lost'. For you, however, Retiro Park will be paradise found - your day tour will round off at the Cecilio Rodriguez Gardens, a beautifully fragrant Spanish rose garden, and the 17th Century oasis of the Parterre Gardens.
