    • Capture all of Cadiz, from its castles to its beaches

Catch all the sightseeing spots of the city on this all-encompassing Cadiz bike tour! With the added benefit of bike rental, this guided day tour maximizes your time and memories, taking you in 3 hours to San Juan de Dios Square, Santa Maria Beach, Puertas Tierra fortress gate, Campo del Sur (Little Habana), Saint Cruz Church, El Pópulo, the Roman Theater, Elf Alley, Cadiz Cathedral, Flower Square, Central Market, Cruz Verde Square, La Palma Church, San Sebastian Castle, La Caleta Beach, Parque Genovés, Carmen Church, Alameda Apodaca, Casa de las Cuatro Torres, and the Plaza de Espana.

Starting off in San Juan de Dios Square, discover the city’s commercial center, home to City Hall, the Church of San Juan de Dios, and opening out spectacularly onto the harbor and glittering Atlantic ocean. Feeling the allure of the sea, you’ll cycle down to Santa Maria Beach, an ocean paradise adored by surfers, sunbathers, and swimmers who spend whole days enjoying the pristine white sands and azure waters.

Pedal onto Puertas Tierra and discover the city’s fortress gate, built around Cadiz’s old defensive wall. Separating Old Town from the more modern districts, the gate glimmers in stark white marble, glittering gorgeously in the Spanish sunshine. Your bicycle tour carries on to Campo del Sur, known affectionately in Cadiz as ‘Little Habana’. Here, pastel-painted houses perch resplendently along a curving, picturesque promenade. You’ll cycle from here to Saint Cruz Church, rebuilt in 1602 after the first church was razed to the ground by the Anglo-Dutch.

Pop on over to the El Pópulo neighborhood, the oldest neighborhood in Cadiz, and home to the city’s most spectacular symbol - Cadiz Cathedral. Many experts even believe El Pópulo to be the oldest neighborhood in Europe and, therefore, the Western world. The white and gold of this small district speaks of an unrivaled sophistication and majesty, and visitors will be spell-bound by its beauty and history. Your bike tour takes you all around El Pópulo, starting with the Roman Theater and Elf Alley, with you eventually parking your bicycle up in the shadow of Cadiz Cathedral. This Baroque and Neoclassical masterpiece took 116 years to complete, but its golden dome now gleams magically from all angles, inspiring those who look on it with nothing short of wonder.

You’ll smell the next stop before you see it! The fragrant Flower Square is a gorgeous landmark in this blossoming city, lined with flower stalls in all colors of the rainbow. Cycle on to Central Market and discover an authentic marketplace bursting with fresh local fruit, vibrant vegetables, fish and meat, and a celebrated gourmet corner. Cruise into Cruz Verde Square, a relaxing plaza of pretty buildings and entertaining street performers. La Palma Church is just nearby, as is the commanding San Sebastian Castle, a formidable fortress protecting the extremity of La Caleta Beach on a small island separated from the city. Declared a cultural landmark in 1985, the castle was built on the rumored site of the Temple of Kronos, Titan of the Greek Gods, and boasts the second electric-powered lighthouse in Spain.

Your guided tour carries on along Caleta Beach to the gorgeous green oasis known as Parques Genovés, famous for its incredible paths lined with enchanting topiary, palm trees, and unusual plants, and leading to a stunning waterfall. From here, you’ll check out Carmen Church and Alameda Apodaca for a beautiful bike ride along the broad seaside avenue leading into the picturesque park. Cycle past fabulous fountains, beneath burgeoning trees, and through glorious landscaped gardens.

Your bike tour reaches its grand finale at the Casa de las Cuatro Torres and the Plaza de Espana in Cadiz’s outstanding Old Town. The star of the square is undoubtedly the magnificent monument to the 1812 Constitution, dazzlingly white in the daylight. At either side of the monument, figures on horseback gleam in bronze, symbolizing war and peace. Here, your all-encompassing Cadiz bicycle tour draws to a climactic close.
