    • Discover the highlights of lively Ljubljana

Let your adventurous spirit take over on this diverse bike tour of Ljubljana! This guided day tour takes you to the most sensational sightseeing spots of Slovenia’s capital city, including the Koseze Pond, Tivoli Park, Gardens of Krakovo, Banks of Ljubljanica, Medieval Ljubljana, Spica, and Cukrarna.

Your brilliant bike tour kicks off at Koseze Pond, also known as Martinek Pond or Lake Koseze. This artificial lake is a serene sanctuary providing an urban oasis in what was once a clay pit. In summer, the tranquil lake is a natural haven and habitat for several endangered species, offers fantastic fishing opportunities, and even hosts model boat races! In winter, the pond freezes over and is a favorite ice-skating spot for those braving the cold.

Pedal on to Tivoli Park, Ljubljana’s largest park. With hills hugged by woodland and spectacular trails, Tivoli is a top location for Ljubljana’s adventure-loving residents, as well as tourists, who enjoy the ornamental landscaping of the gardens and flowerbeds. Cycle along paths lined with chestnut trees and admire numerous fabulous fountains and intriguing statues. Glide from one green oasis to another as your guide leads you into the Gardens of Krakovo, right in the heart of the city. Biking along the banks of the Ljubljanica, enjoy views of splendid Slovenian architecture as your bike tour moves into the medieval region of the city.

Cycling into Spica, explore a landscaped park beautifully built on the river embankment, just minutes from the historical sights of the city center your bike tour has just explored. The park’s name, meaning ‘pointed tip’, refers to the unusual shape of the area, which was once a town beach! Carry on to Cukrarna, the intriguing sugar factory that was one of the most important of Slovenia’s industrial buildings during the 19th Century, and end your bicycle tour on a sweet note!

        Lovely cycle ride around Ljubljana

        · Ljubljana Highlights Bike Tour

We had a day to see Ljubljana before heading off to Lake Bohinj, so a guided cycle ride around the town was the perfect way to see all the best parts of Ljubljana. The equipment was good. Safety was good, and the guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Our trip was on a Thursday morning and traffic was fine. Most of the route was on pedestrian areas., and predominantly flat so it wasn't very strenuous. We even had a stop at a restaurant for a drink. The group size was 6 people. We learnt a lot and thoroughly enjoyed it. Matius was the perfect guide. Would highly recommend.
