As you glide along under the green canopy, your guide will reveal how the park requires a renovation every three decades due to its lowering ground levels. But you needn’t have that sinking feeling – Vondelpark is a stunning section of the city to explore, boasting bike paths lined with beautiful trees alive with rejuvenating birdsong.

Admire the awesome Amstel River as you bike along its banks, taking in all the sights of stunning Amsterdam. Riding up to the Riekermolen windmill, make the most of being up close to an authentic Dutch windmill, reminiscent of a more traditional past. Dating back to 1636, the Riekermolen was a favorite muse of Rembrandt, whose statue perches a few yards away, gazing out over the scenery that inspired his sketches.

Your bicycle tour continues on to an entertaining stop at a clog- and cheese-making farm! Allow the eccentric Dutch farmer to demonstrate the traditional processes of making the wooden-soled shoes and Gouda cheese. The farm boasts a delightful gift shop where you can pick up a souvenir and taste the traditional Dutch Gouda. Delicious!

  Amazing bike ride in the countryside near Amsterdam with gorgeous scenery! If you have to choose one bike tour in Amsterdam, I’d highly recommend this one. Our guide was helpful, informative and made the whole experience very fun. If you are a novice biker or want a leisurely ride, I’d suggest the e-bike since it was the perfect way to see the sights without breaking a sweat. Great tour for solo travelers.
