    • Bike to the Moshi beat

For those wanting to immerse themselves in the culture of Moshi, look no further than this cycle through the story of Tanzania’s past and present. This once-in-a-lifetime mountain bike tour takes in the sightseeing spots of the municipality before welcoming you into the beating heart of the Chagga community, where you’ll learn about their beliefs, culture, and lifestyle.

Your discovery-fuelled day tour kicks off in the vibrant streets of Moshi itself. Your guide’s local knowledge will bring the culture of the municipality alive as you bike through the bustling streets that move to the authentic Moshi beat. As you near the Njoro Quarter, you may be greeted by the sweet sounds of gospel issuing from the rafters of the nearby church, welcoming you into the community. As you ride, you’ll see the routines of the locals, including open-air cooking, and games amongst the children who will be excited as you make your arrival.

Your MTB tour takes in the Old Train Station, where time has stood still since 1911. This abandoned colonial station is a relic of the first railway on what was once a line controlled by the Germans. From here, you can find yourself, on a clear day, faced with a majestic view of Mount Kilimanjaro, creating an atmospheric picture for the photo album.

Cycling onwards to Njoro Spring, discover a beautiful forest echoing with birdsong, home to a tree conservation center and water purification pool. Weave your bicycle beneath the breathtaking canopy as your guide leads you towards the verdant neighborhood of Shanty Town, where burgeoning branches arch over wide roads and luscious lawns stretch before upscale residential houses. You’ll soak up the sights of this serene neighborhood before continuing on to Soweto Quarter and, from there, taking a leisurely ride back to base.
