Between them, students hurry in their gowns and mortarboards, balancing bags of heavy books on their bicycles. Just outside the center, Port Meadow stretches along the Thames River, dotted with quaint barges, where Lewis Carroll drew inspiration for Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.
